Turkey chili

The recipe does not require any modifications: the result is always tasty, a warming dish that creates an atmosphere of comfort. Adherents of a healthy nutrition should also evaluate the lack of red meat, instead which uses more dietary turkey poultry. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 910 gr. ground turkey meat (not lean)
  • 1 can (790 gr.) Canned tomatoes, chopped cubes
  • 1 can (420 gr.) Canned pinto beans, drain liquid and rinse
  • 1 can (420 gr.) Canned red beans, drain liquid and rinse
  • 1 can (420 gr.) Canned black beans, drain liquid and rinse
  • 1 can (110 g.) Diced green chili
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp. l chili powder
  • 2 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp. chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. coarsely grated pepper pepper or mature cheddar cheese, for topping
  • 1 tbsp. sour cream for topping
  • 1 tbsp. chopped green onions, topping

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat olive oil in a cast iron pot or large wide pan over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, 1 tsp. salt, scroll the pepper mill several times on top. Cook stirring the clots with a wooden spoon until brown colors (approximately 8 minutes).
  2. Take out the turkey meat with a slotted spoon. Add the garlic to the pan, celery, onions and 1/4 tsp salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften (about 8 minutes). Add Chili Powder and tomato paste. Cook, stirring, 1 minute.
  3. Return the ground turkey to the pan. Add diced tomatoes, beans, green chilli and chicken stock. Increase the fire to medium-strong and bring the mass to a slow boil. Then turn down the temperature and simmer until the vegetables are soft and tastes will not combine (approximately 30 minutes).
  4. Serve chili with cheese, sour cream and green onions on top.
