Thyme Stew

Thyme stewed potatoes – a detailed recipe cooking. Photo Braised Potato with Thyme Time: 45 мин. Complexity: easy Servings: 6 – 8 The recipes use volumetric measuring containers of: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (Art.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.8 kg unpeeled potatoes with a yellow peel, cut into four parts
  • 85 gr. bacon
  • 6 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp coarse salt
  • 5 peas of black pepper, plus freshly ground for serving
  • 4 tbsp. chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp. l (60 gr.) Butter

Recipe preparation:

  1. Put bacon on the bottom of the pan with a thick bottom, put on top 3 sprigs of thyme. Then add potatoes, salt, bay leaves and peppercorns. Pour the chicken stock into the pan and add water so that the cover of potatoes. Add butter and the remaining thyme. Cover and simmer until potatoes will not become soft. At the end of cooking, remove laurel leaves and peppercorns. Arrange potatoes in shallow bowls, season with salt and pepper to taste.
