Texas barbecue sauce

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.5 tbsp. beef broth or any meat broth
  • 1/2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. l melted fat after frying bacon or creamy oils
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Recipe preparation:

  1. Mix beef broth, ketchup, onion, melted in a pan fat, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 – 1 tsp. pepper. Boil, then reduce the temperature and cook at a low boil, about 10 minutes, until the onion is soft.
  2. Remove the pan from the stove and leave the sauce to infuse for 1 h. Serve the sauce hot, preheating it before serve.
