Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 600 gr ground beef
  • Salt and Freshly Ground Peppers
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 small red onion, cut into thin half rings
  • 230 gr. mix mushrooms, cut into slices
  • 1 tbsp. l worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 Art. ketchup
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 slices of gruyere cheese
  • 4 buns with sesame seeds, cut in half and fry
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Chips, pickles, served (optional)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Stir the minced meat in a bowl with 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Form 4 round cakes with a thickness of about 2 cm from minced meat. Heat olive oil in a pan. Place cutlets and fry on medium heat, until cooked, about 4 minutes. with each side.
  2. Heat in a separate pan at a moderate heat. 2 tsp olive oil. Add onion and fry, stirring, 2 min. Add mushrooms and cook another 2 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and cook, until cooked, for another 2 minutes. Salt and Spice up. Mix ketchup and mustard in a bowl.
  3. Sprinkle cutlets with mushroom mixture and put cheese on top. Return cutlets in a pan and cover, warm until cheese will melt, approximately 1 min.
  4. Spread buns with ketchup mixture, put on lower halves meatballs with mushrooms and cheese, then lettuce and cover with the top half buns. Serve Swiss burgers with chips and pickles.
