Sweet Potato Souffle Casserole

This sweet potato casserole, decorated with a decorative shtrezel, should many like it and it’s easy to cook and hard to spoil. For Cinnamon (approx. 1 h. l.) and nutmeg (about 1/2 tsp.). Excellent result it turns out if you put marshmallow on top of the finished dish and put back into the oven for a few minutes. Perhaps to the sweet potato managed to soften in 1 hour, a higher one is required temperature (200–220 ° С).   • 5 medium sweet potato tubers
  • 110 gr. butter, room temperature, more additionally for lubrication of the mold
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Sahara
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tbsp. milk
  • A pinch of salt

Streisel

  • 1 tbsp. finely chopped pecans
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp. flour
  • 55 gr. softened butter

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 ° C. Lubricate the baking dish with a volume 2 l butter. Souffle: pierce sweet potatoes with a fork and bake on a foil-covered baking sheet until soft for 1 hour. When the sweet potato cools down enough to work with, peel it, place the pulp in a large bowl and mash until complete homogeneity. Add eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and salt. Mix well using stationary or hand mixer. Turn the mixture into a baking dish.
  2. Streisel: mix nuts well in a medium bowl pecans, brown sugar, flour and butter. Lay out the mixture spoon on sweet potatoes in an even layer. Bake until light browning 40 min. Let the dish stand for 5 minutes. before serve.
