Sweet and Sour Chicken Stew sauce

This chicken in sweet and sour sauce from Food Network magazine is preparing with fresh vegetables in a mixture of soy sauce and chili sauce with garlic. Due to the rapid frying over high heat, the chicken acquires a crispy crust and a wonderful taste even without deep fat. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 340 gr cut into pieces 2.5 cm. chicken breast halves skinless and boneless
  • 2 tbsp. l honey
  • 1 tsp garlic chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp. l rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. l low salt soy sauce
  • 1/4 Art. fresh orange juice
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 4 tsp peanut butter
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 225 gr. prepared peas
  • 0.5 l quarter sliced little sweet pepper different colors or 2 cut into strips 2.5 cm wide. Bulgarian pepper of different colors

  • Boiled brown rice, as a side dish option

Recipe preparation:

  1. Mix the chicken with 2 tsp. peanut butter and heat on moderately high heat large frying pan with non-stick coating. Salt and pepper the breasts to taste and fry, periodically turning over with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes. Shift partially cooked chicken on a plate. Don’t pan clean up.
  2. Heat the remaining 2 tsp in a pan. oils. Put sweet peppers, white onions and peas. Fry stirring occasionally until the vegetables are tender and crispy, about 3 minutes
  3. In a small bowl, combine honey, chili sauce with garlic, rice vinegar, soy sauce, orange juice and corn starch. Whisk whisk, and add to the pan.
  4. Add the fried chicken to the pan. Stew periodically stirring until the sauce thickens and the chicken becomes soft, 1-2 min Serve with rice, sprinkled with green onions and nuts (if use).
