Simple but Perfect Chili – A Detailed recipe cooking. Time: 1 hour. 35 minutes Complexity: easy Servings: 6 – 8 The recipes use volumetric measuring containers of: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (Art.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 900 gr. ground beef
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 230 gr. tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp. l chili powder (seasoning with chili pepper)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 Art. Masa Harina (Mexican Cornmeal)
- 425 gr. canned red beans, rinse and to dry
- 425 gr. rinse canned pinto beans, rinse, to dry
- For serving: Grated Cheddar, chopped onions, corn chips, lime slices

Recipe preparation:
- Place the ground beef in a large pot and place the garlic. Fry over medium heat until meat is tender. Brown color. Drain excess fat, then add tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and cayenne pepper. Good mix, cover, then reduce heat to a minimum. Simmer at low boil for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. If the chili becomes excessively dry, add 1/2 tbsp. water.
- After an hour, pour Mexican flour into a small bowl. Add 1/2 tbsp. water and stir with a fork. Add the flour mixture to Chile. Mix well, and then try and adjust the taste. Put more flour and / or water to get chili with more acceptable texture or add more corn aroma and taste. Add the beans and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve chili with chopped cheddar, chopped onion, mexican chips and slices of lime.
