Shrimp with Curry Sauce

  • 700 gr. peeled raw shrimp
  • 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. l curry powder
  • 1 can (400 ml.) Coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp. l honey, more to taste
  • 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 lime juice or more to taste
  • 12 fresh basil leaves, chopped, more for decoration
  • Cooked Basmati Rice Garnished

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and fry, turning them over, until cooked (2 to 3 min.). Put on a plate. Add garlic and onions to the pan and mix, cook for 2 minutes. Pour curry seasoning on top of the onion and continue cooking, stirring a few more minutes. Reduce heat and pour coconut milk while stirring. Add honey salt, lime and heat the mixture to a boil. Add to sauce cooked shrimp and simmer slightly until the sauce thickens 2 to 3 minutes Try the sauce and add more salt, lime juice or honey to your taste. Add basil.
  2. Serve the prawns in curry sauce on a pillow of basmati rice, garnish with plenty of basil leaves. a variation of this shrimp curry recipe.
