Jada De Laurentis cooks shrimps with shallots and mixes them with spicy arugula, orzo pasta and serves with simple lemon sauce to add freshness to the dish. Recipes used. volumetric containers: one cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 450 gr orzo pasta
- 1 large chopped shallot
- 450 – 500 gr. large, peeled shrimp
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup dry white wine, e.g. Pinot Grigio
- 200 gr. arugula
For lemon sauce:
- 1/3 Art. olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice from 2 large lemons
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- Lemon zest 2 large lemons

Recipe preparation:
- Add to a large pot with salted, boiling water, pasta and cook until cooked for 6-8 minutes. over low heat stirring occasionally. Pour in 1 cup of water, the rest drain.
- For sauce: in a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper until smooth masses. Leave me alone.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add shallots and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the shrimp, salt and pepper. After 2-3 minutes the shrimp will turn red and cook. Transfer the shrimp from the pan.
- Increase the heat to maximum. Add wine and arugula. Use a wooden spoon to stir. Cook for 1 min until the bulk of the liquid evaporates and the arugula will dry out. Add cooked pasta, cooked shrimp and lemon sauce in a pan. Add added water from mix pasta so that all ingredients are covered and put out. Transfer to a large dish and serve.
