Recipe
The first time I tried paella in sunny Spain, and it was love from the first spoon. Arriving home, I immediately decided to cook seafood paella on your own. It turned out very tasty paella, no worse than in a restaurant! I used mussels and squid, but you can do it with any other seafood (e.g. shrimp). The dish is suitable for a festive table, so for a regular dinner.
Let’s get started!

Great job
Bon appetit, I hope you had fun with us!
Prepare the products:
Steps
Steps taken: 0/0
- Defrost squids and mussels (possible in the microwave).
- Wash rice in cold water several times (water should become transparent). Pour rice into a pan and pour boiling water in 1: 2 ratio (+50 ml, so as not to burn). In order for rice not to stuck together, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil (refined). Cook over medium heat with the lid closed. about 20 minutes.
- When the rice swells and the water almost evaporates, reduce the heat to minimum. Make holes in different places (so that the water finally evaporated). Cook for another 10 minutes, open the lid.
- Squids to clear from the insides. Put in boiling water, salt a little. Cook for 3 minutes, then catch with a slotted spoon. Decoction strain and leave. The cooled squids to clear of the remains pink peel and cut into strips.
- Put the mussels in boiling, slightly salted water (water should only slightly cover the mussels so that the broth is more concentrated). Cook for 2 minutes. Catch with a slotted spoon mussels, broth to leave.
- Pour olive oil into a skillet to completely cover the bottom of the pan (somewhere around 50 ml). Cut 3 cloves of garlic. Warm up in oil so that garlic releases extractives (do not fry). Then remove the garlic from the oil with a slotted spoon.
- Add rice to this oil, mix, add calamari and mussels. Add soy sauce (I have 2 types with different tastes, each added a little bit). Pour in a decoction of mussels. Must get the consistency of semi-liquid porridge. Cover and give warm up for 5 minutes so that the rice is saturated with the taste of seafood. Open the lid, if there is little fluid, add a little decoction squid.
- Remove from heat, squeeze 2-3 cloves of garlic into the finished dish. Add olive oil to taste.
Paella ready, bon appetit!
