Quick Pickled Onions – A Detailed recipe cooking. Photo Quick pickled onions Time: one 0 min Difficulty: Easy Servings: 4 The recipes use measuring containers with a volume of: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (st.) – 120 ml 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1/4 Art. olive oil, plus 1 tbsp. l
  • 3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. l Sahara
  • 6 peas of black pepper
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme, plus 2 tbsp. l chopped for decoration

Recipe preparation:

  1. Sauté the onion until soft on low heat with 1 tbsp. l olive oil. Pour vinegar into a large pot, 1/4 tbsp. olive oil, add sugar, pepper and thyme and bring to boiling. Add the onions to the hot liquid and simmer for 5 мин.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and let the onion stand for 2 hours or leave for the night. When ready to serve, drain and top off sprinkle with thyme.
