Pumpkin and applesauce – a detailed recipe for cooking. with friends: Photo Pumpkin and applesauceTime: 30 minutes Difficulty: easy Servings: 4 Used in recipes volumetric containers: one cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 pumpkin (about 1.1 kg.), Remove seeds, peel and cut into pieces
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3/4 Art. chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. l brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat the oil in a 4 liter saucepan or gravy boat on moderately high heat. Add onions and fry until onions will not become soft. Add broth, brown sugar, thyme, black pepper and pumpkin in a pan and heat to a boil. Reduce heat to minimum. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. or until the pumpkin will become soft.
  2. Add apples to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, or until apples will not become soft. Bring pumpkin puree to the desired consistency by adding extra broth.
