- Break nuts so that there are halves of kernels.
- Boil potatoes and eggs, peel and grate on a large grater. I advise you to immediately mix the eggs with 1-2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. So it will be easier to lay them on the salad.
- Boil the chicken in salted water, cool and cut cubes.
- Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
- Onion and gherkins cut into small cubes. In order not to salt and pepper each layer of salad, I immediately add spices to mayonnaise. You you can do as you wish: either salt the mayonnaise or salt each layer of lettuce.
- Now let’s start assembling the salad. We lay out the layers in the next sequences: potatoes, onions, half chicken, gherkins, leftover chicken, cheese, eggs mixed with mayonnaise (spread on the entire surface of the salad).
- Decorate the salad with nuts and onions.
- Leave the salad in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
