Pickled Herring with Carrots

You can not only pickle herring, but also cook it at home pickled with carrots and onions. Turn to feed herring into rolls, fix with toothpicks and decorate.

  1. Cut the peeled carrots into circles, send to the pan, add whole peeled onions, peas, sugar, bay leaf, pour water (2 cups) and bring to a boil. Pour in a bite put the seasoning (it is salty), bring to a boil and remove from fire. Cool a bit.

  2. Cut herring fillet in half (slices should not be large), send to a warm pickle with vegetables, cover and cool for 8 hours.

  3. We take out the marinated herring fillet, turn it into rolls, fasten with toothpicks and put on a plate. Decorate pickled carrots, bay leaves, sprigs of parsley, pour brine and immediately serve.
