Philadelphia kebab sandwich

This sandwich is almost exactly the same as the one popular in Philadelphia. street food filly cheese steak in the form of an elongated roll filled with beef steak, sprinkled with cheese sauce, however, it is cooked in the form delicious kebabs. Diced steak of sirloin marinated in mixes of Italian seasoning, and then put on skewers along with champignons, onions and sweet peppers and grilled. Recipes used. volumetric containers: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.1 kg sirloin steak, sliced and diced into 2.5 cm
  • 1/4 Art. olive oil
  • 2 cloves, minced garlic
  • 1 tsp dried italian seasoning
  • 1 sweet onion, sliced in 2 cm circles.
  • 1 large green bell pepper, peeled and cut into pieces of 2.5 cm.
  • 220 gr. champignons, cut and cut in half (or 4 parts, if large)
  • Vegetable oil to grease the grill
  • 3/4 Art. yellow cheese sauce
  • Haogi rolls, sliced hot cherry peppers and hot sauce, for topping

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the steak with 2 tbsp. l olive oil, garlic, 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 and 1/4 tsp salt and a little ground black pepper. Leave marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the grill to a moderate heat. Mix in a large bowl of onions, sweet peppers and mushrooms with the remaining 2 tbsp. l olive oil and 0.5 tsp. Italian seasoning, 0.5 tsp salt and a little ground black pepper. Plant pieces of steak and vegetables for ten skewers 30 cm long.
  3. Lubricate the grill with vegetable oil. Fry kebabs, often turning over until grilled marks appear from the wire rack, 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a dish.
  4. Preheat the cheese sauce in the microwave at intervals of 30 seconds until it becomes liquid. Sprinkle the kebabs. Serve on buns with cherry peppers and hot sauce.

    Note

    If you use wooden skewers, soak them first in water for at least 30 minutes so that they do not burn.
