  • 3 stalks of celery, diced
  • 3 medium-sized carrots, diced
  • 3 tbsp. l (45 gr.) Butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 500 gr. plum-like tomato cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp. lightly salted meat broth
  • 4 tbsp. shredded young cabbage
  • 250 gr potato diced
  • 3/4 Art. instant pearl barley
  • 120 gr. beef jerky, cut into small strips
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Recipe preparation:

  1. Melt the cream in a saucepan at a moderate heat butter. Add onions, celery, carrots, allspice and fry, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are slightly softened, about 5 minutes
  2. Add tomatoes, meat broth, cabbage to the pan, potatoes, pearl barley and 4 tbsp. water, cover and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and simmer over low heat until potatoes and pearl barley will not become soft, about 20 min Add jerky beef to the soup, season with salt and pepper.
