  • 1350 gr. potato with red peel cut into 4 parts
  • 6 thick slices of bacon
  • 1/4 Art. coarse salt
  • 3 tbsp. l (45 gr.) Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tbsp. whole milk

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Four slices of bacon put on a baking sheet with high edges and bake with each sides for 10 minutes until golden crisp. Dry on paper towels. Cool completely.
  2. Make bacon salt: baked bacon thoroughly grind in the kitchen processor. Distribute it on paper towel and remove excess fat.
  3. Mix the bacon and salt in a separate bowl and rub thoroughly. fingers until smooth.
  4. Bacon salt can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight, airtight container for up to 2 weeks, and in the freezer – up to 2 months.
  5. Put the potatoes and the remaining 2 slices in a large pot bacon, fill with cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and cook for 25 minutes until the potatoes will become soft. Drop the potatoes in a colander, boiled bacon more will not need.
  6. In the same pan add butter and milk and give melt the butter over medium heat. Put the potatoes back in pan and mash it with a pusher or a fork. Add 1 tbsp. l cooked bacon salt and mix. Put the potatoes in bowl and optionally sprinkle with meat salt.
