  • 0.25 tsp Worcester sauce
  • 1 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. l sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. l chopped smoked almonds

Recipe preparation:

  1. Cook the bacon in a large roasting pan or frying pan on medium high heat, stirring occasionally until it becomes crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and dry on paper towels.
  2. Put potatoes and leeks in the same pan and cook, stirring until the onion softens slightly. Add the garlic, rosemary and thyme, 0.25 teaspoon salt and a pinch of pepper. Cook, stirring until vegetables are lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Add chicken stock and 4 tbsp. water and bring to a boil; cover and cook for 15 minutes. Add about three quarters cabbage; continue cooking with the lid closed until the cabbage will fade, about 5 minutes. Add and mix Worcester sauce.
  3. Meanwhile, preheat the grill. Stir the remaining cabbage with olive oil on a baking sheet, salt and pepper. Fry under grill until it becomes crispy, about 3 minutes.
