Kajun Shrimp Rice

A simple and quick recipe that will help you in just a few minutes to turn the remnants of yesterday’s rice into real kajun dish. Cajun cuisine is part of the popular American cuisine in Louisiana. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 tbsp. l (15 gr.) Butter
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 3 cloves, minced garlic
  • 2 tsp kajun seasoning
  • 450 gr large shrimp, peeled from the shell and intestinal vein, tails leave
  • 4 tomatoes Cream, chopped
  • 2 bunches of green onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp. boiled white rice
  • 3 tbsp. l chopped parsley
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat the creamy and olive oil and garlic until aroma, about 1 minute. Add seasoning and shrimp and fry, stirring until shrimp begin to curl, about 1 minute. Salt and pepper.
  2. Add the tomatoes and green onions and fry, stirring, about 1 minutes. Add rice and 1/4 tbsp. water and keep cooking until the rice will not warm up and the shrimp will not become dull, about 3 more minutes. Stir in parsley and serve as desired with lemon.
