Grilled sweet potato

Before grilling, the sweet potato tubers are pre-baked in microwave so that they then fry faster and do not burnt, cut into circles and mixed with a spicy mixture of olive oil with chili powder and zira, which is juicy it will be interesting to complement the taste with a sweet contrast sweet potato. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 4 large yam tubers pierced with a fork
  • 1/4 Art. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp ground zira
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
  • Grated zest and half lime juice
  • 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, finely chopped

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the grill to moderate heat. Bake yam in microwave, until it starts to soften, 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool, then cut the tubers into 1 cm thick circles.
  2. In a large bowl, mix 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil, zira, chili powder, 1 tsp salt and a little ground black pepper. Add the slices of sweet potato and mix gently. Shift to grill and fry until grilled marks from the grill appear, 2-3 minutes on each side. Transfer to a dish.
  3. Combine in the bowl the cilantro remaining 1/4 tbsp. vegetable oil zest and lime juice and jalapenos; salt to taste. If necessary dilute with lime juice. Pour the fried sweet potato with dressing.
