Sometimes I want to diversify the usual side dishes for meat and try something new and a great alternative can be these, grilled, glazed eggplant. These vegetables due to its composition they have a number of useful properties, for example, they normalize water-salt metabolism and improve heart function. And with this they have a very low calorie content – only 24 calories per 100 grams. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 medium eggplant, trim from ends and cut lengthwise 1.2 cm slices.
  • 1 tbsp. l canola oil
  • Fresh 2.5 cm. Ginger root, chop randomly
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp chili pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. l rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. l low salt soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp. l eggplant olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. l chopped cilantro leaves

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat rapeseed oil. Add ginger, garlic and red chili flakes, cook 3-4 мин. until softened. Remove from heat and whisk to fry Hoisin, rice vinegar and soy sauce until completely mixed and then strain, leaving the sauce.
