Grilled cuban sandwich

When you imagine the classic taste of a Cuban sandwich, spicy mustard, spicy pickled cucumbers and juicy slices of pork.

In this recipe we pickle pork tenderloin in mustard and cucumber brine so that the meat is saturated with these tastes. When frying on grilled, sandwich crushed with something heavy so that the bread is good toasted, and the cheese is completely melted.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 piece of pork tenderloin (450 gr.)
  • 225 gr. sliced thin slices of purchased ham
  • 110 gr. thinly sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 cut along a loaf of Cuban bread (35 cm long) or another long soft bread
  • 1/4 Art. plus 1 tbsp. l dining mustard
  • 8 slices of pickled cucumbers (sliced along) plus 2 tbsp. l marinade
  • 2 small grated cloves of garlic
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. l melted butter
  • 1/4 Art. mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil plus some more for lubrication grill grates

Recipe preparation:

  1. With a sharp knife, cut the pork tenderloin in half across to it turned out 2 pieces 13 cm long. In the middle of each piece do vertical incision, approximately 3/4. Lubricate the grill grate with a little vegetable oil. Sprinkle pork on both sides with salt and pepper. Mix the remaining tablespoon of mustard with mayonnaise and spread with this mixture, both sides of the bread. Lay ham pickled cucumbers, pork and Swiss cheese for one half of the bread. Cover the other half and wrap the sandwich in foil.
  5. Put the sandwich on the grill, place a large baking sheet on top, and there’s a big cast-iron pan or 2 big cans cans. Grill for 5 minutes, remove the pan and load, turn the sandwich over, put the load back in and grill it until Swiss cheese will not melt, about 5 more minutes. sandwich, cut into 4 pieces and serve immediately.
