Greek salad with pasta, feta and olives

Traditional greek salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and cheese feta is complemented by boiled pasta and becomes full hearty dish, which can be served independently and as Garnish for meat or poultry. All vegetables are cut approximately the same in size slices, and before serving, the salad is seasoned with a refreshing a mixture of olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano and shallots. Serve right away and enjoy the vibrant Mediterranean flavors in every spoon. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 220 gr ziti paste (tubules)
  • 1/3 Art. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. l red wine vinegar
  • 1 small shallots, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp. chopped cucumber
  • 0.5 tbsp. crumbled feta
  • 1/4 Art. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 Art. pitted chopped Kalamata olives
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large pan, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, shallots, oregano, 0.5 tsp salt and a little black pepper.
  3. Pour pasta into boiling water and cook according to recommendation on the packaging. Drain and rinse the paste under cold water to keep it cool; put in a bowl with refueling.
  4. Add cucumber, feta, parsley, olives and tomatoes to the bowl and mix. Salt and pepper to taste. Pasta salad best served immediately.
