Difficulty: easy Portions: 6 – 8 The recipes use measuring containers with a volume of: one glass (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (st.) – 120 ml 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 kg. young carrots (preferably different colors), cut the tops
  • 2 tbsp. l orange jam
  • 3/4 Art. fresh orange juice
  • 1/3 Art. chopped candied pecans
  • 3 tbsp. l brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp. l (60 gr.) Butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Recipe preparation:

  1. Melt 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Butter in large pan at moderate heat. Mix in orange jam, then add carrots, orange juice, brown sugar, salt, pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, then cover cover and reduce heat, cook, sometimes stirring, until softening carrots, 13 – 15 min.
  2. Remove the lid and add the remaining butter. Click to enlarge temperature and cook over medium heat until liquid is evaporate, 8 – 10 min. Put glazed carrots on serving dish and sprinkle with candied pecans.
