Recipe preparation:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, mix milk, cocoa powder, sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar, cocoa and spices will not dissolve, and steam will not go from milk, about 5 minutes. Do not let the mixture boil.
