Frozen strawberry yogurt

Low calorie yogurt ice cream made from strawberries and thick Greek yogurt is in no way inferior in taste and texture to ordinary ice cream. Dessert is first whipped in an ice cream maker, and then freezes in the freezer, so plan to cook in advance, so that the bowl from the ice cream maker rests for 24 hours in freezer. Strawberries pre-macerated at room temperature with lemon juice, zest, sugar and rum, and then minced in a food processor with yogurt and natural vanilla. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 4 tbsp. strawberries, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 Art. Sahara
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. l roma
  • 1 vanilla pod, cut in half and scrape seeds
  • 1 tbsp. plain greek yogurt made from whole milk

Recipe preparation:

  1. 24 hours before making frozen yogurt only a bowl of ice cream in the freezer.
  2. Put strawberries, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice in a bowl and rum and mix. Cover with plastic wrap and leave when room temperature for 1 hour.
  3. Put strawberries with juices in a food processor. Grind berries, then add the vanilla seeds and yogurt. Keep going beat until smooth.
  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  5. Turn on the ice cream maker and put chilled yogurt into the bowl mixture. Whisk until the mixture becomes slushy, as soft ice cream, about 12-15 minutes.
  6. Put for several hours in the freezer until ice cream will not be hard.
