  • 2 tbsp. l granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 2 tbsp. l (30 gr.) Melted butter
  • 3 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar, for sprinkling

Recipe preparation:

  1. Beat eggs, milk, cream, orange juice, vanilla in a bowl, cognac, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a pinch of salt.
  2. Put the bread in one layer in 2 shallow baking dishes. Pour the egg mixture onto the bread, let it soak for 10 minutes.
  3. While the bread is soaking, preheat the grill to medium heat. Place a flat cast iron skillet on the grill. Grease the bananas melted butter and fry in a pan until they are brown on all sides and start releasing juice, about 3 minutes. Put the bananas on a plate with a spatula, then wipe a pan with a paper towel. When the bananas have cooled, chop them slices 1 cm thick.
  4. Remove a slice of bread from the egg mixture and allow the excess to drain. Put on a cutting board, put four or five on top sliced ​​banana, then cover with another slice of soaked of bread. Lightly grease the grilled pan with vegetable oil. Put a sandwich in the pan, put a grill press on top of it or a heavy frying pan to squeeze. Toast until bread fried and not covered with a golden crust, 3-4 minutes. Turn the sandwich over, squeeze and fry on the other side until golden color. Keep ready-made sandwiches warm. Put the panini in plates and cut diagonally in half; sprinkle with powdered sugar on top and pour plenty of maple syrup.
