Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 500 gr. medium sized peeled shrimp
  • 1/2 head of Chinese cabbage (Napa cabbage), cut into strips of 2.5 cm.
  • 4 green onion heads, cut into rings, cut feathers diagonally
  • 1 tbsp. l finely grated ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic, grate finely
  • 1 egg white
  • 1.5 tbsp. l corn starch
  • 1.5 tbsp. l soy sauce
  • 1.5 tsp sherry or white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp. unsalted chicken stock or water
  • 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • Boiled polished rice as a side dish (optional)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Beat the protein in a large bowl, 1 tbsp. l corn starch and 1 tsp soy sauce until foamy. Add shrimp and mix. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare a mixture with soy sauce: in a small pour the chicken stock into a bowl and mix with a whisk soy sauce, remaining corn starch, wine vinegar.
  3. Dry the shrimp. Fry in vegetable oil with medium temperature the white part of the green onion, ginger and garlic, add shrimp and fry for another 3 minutes. Add Chinese cabbage, and stir fry until cooked for another 2 minutes. Pour in the mixture with soy sauce, bring to a boil and boil for several minutes.
  4. Stir fried shrimp and cabbage with green onions. To lay out on portioned plates with rice.
