French Turkey Sandwiches

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 650 gr. turkey breast fillet with skin
  • 3 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. l chopped fresh thyme
  • Salt and Freshly Ground Peppers
  • 2 carrots, cut into thin slices
  • 2 celery stalks, cut into thin slices
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crush
  • 1 tbsp. lightly salted chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp. l worcestershire sauce
  • 4 mini baguettes, cut in half lengthwise
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese

Recipe preparation:

  1. Grate a turkey breast 1 tbsp. l olive oil, thyme, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper.
  2. Heat in a large cast-iron skillet 1 tbsp. l olive oil at high temperature. Put turkey breast on a pan with skin down and fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Turn over and cook another 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium temperature, add carrots, celery, onions and garlic, stir fry for 2 minutes. Add Worcestershire Chicken Broth sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce fire to moderately low. temperature, cover the pan and continue cooking, until meat prepared, approximately 20 min. Shift turkey breast on a cutting board and leave for 5 minutes, so that in the meat evenly distributed juice, then cut into slices.
  3. Heat the oven to high temperature. Spread baguette with inside with olive oil. Put the bottom halves baguette on a baking sheet, put slices of cheese on top. To put bake in the oven and bake until the cheese will melt, approximately 1 min. Put turkey meat on top, vegetables and pour meat juice, then cover with the upper halves baguette. Pour meat juice into the gravy boat and serve with sandwiches.
