Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 cans (400 g each) chickpeas, drain the liquid
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1/3 Art. Tahini sesame paste, mix well
  • 5 tbsp. l lemon juice
  • 1/4 Art. olive oil, plus extra for serving
  • Sumac or cumin to taste, optional

Recipe preparation:

  1. Place chickpeas, garlic and salt in a food processor bowl. Grind for 20 to 30 seconds. Stop scraping off the walls of the bowl, add the tahini and mix for another 15 seconds.
  2. Add lemon juice and 1/4 tbsp. water and mix it for 20 sec., Then scrape off the sides of the bowl. With running add olive oil to the combine engine and stir for another 20 seconds. or until uniform.
  3. To serve, put hummus in a bowl, pour olive oil and sprinkle with sumac or cumin if you use. Exit: 2.5 Art.
