Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 820 gr. canned chickpeas, previously washed
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp. chopped green cilantro
  • 3/4 Art. breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • 3/4 Art. natural 2nd greek yogurt
  • Coarse salt
  • 170 gr leaf lettuce mixes
  • 2 tomatoes (1 finely chopped, 1 sliced)
  • 4 slices of whole-wheat flour sandwich bread, lightly toasted
  • 4 feathers of green onions (only white and light green parts), shredded
  • 1/3 Art. canned pepper or jalapenos and 2 Art. l can brine

Recipes with similar ingredients: whole grain bread, chickpeas, peppers chili, jalapenos, garlic, green onions, tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, cumin, breadcrumbs, yogurt

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a food processor, grind chickpeas, garlic, half a green onion, cilantro and pickled pepper, breadcrumbs and cumin. Form 4 thin cutlets with a dimeter 7.5 cm each
  2. In a large non-stick frying pan, heat on medium high heat vegetable oil. Put the meatballs and cook 3-4 minutes to golden crust.
  3. Meanwhile, mix yoghurt and pickle in a medium bowl. pickled pepper and salt. In a large bowl, mix half dressings from yogurt with leaf mixture, chopped tomato and the remaining green onions, and cilantro.
  4. Put the falafels on the bread, lay the slices of tomato on top and the remaining dressing of yogurt, and pickled peppers. Serve burgers with salad.
