Eggplant steaks with cheese

Grilled vegetables successfully make up healthy alternative to meat. Eggplant is the best suited for vegetable steaks. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 8 round slices (0.5 cm each) of eggplant soaked in salt water
  • 1/4 Art. Worcester sauce
  • 1/4 Art. thick steak sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. l honey
  • 2 tsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 3 tbsp. l chopped parsley, optional

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a small bowl, mix Worcester sauce and steak sauce, olive oil, honey and apple cider vinegar. Salt and pepper.
  2. Dry the eggplant slices with a paper towel. Culinary brush with eggplant sauce on both sides. Put slices on a baking sheet equipped with a wire rack. Put the baking sheet in the heated grill and cook eggplant for about 2 minutes.
  3. When they are well browned, turn the slices over and fry second side. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan and hold under grill another minute until golden crust of cheese. Before serving can be decorated with chopped herbs.
