Dumplings in meat sauce with sweet peppers

Complement the amazing dumplings with potatoes and onions with amazing sauce, thanks to which they make excellent homemade a dish that does not look like preheated convenience foods. And it is being prepared in less than half an hour. Dumplings are pre-boiled and interfere with minced meat sauce fried with onions and sweet peppers in butter. Raw minced meat is used in the preparation Italian sausages peeled from the shells. It is already full perfectly balanced mix of fragrant Mediterranean spices that will give flavor to the whole dish. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 0.5 kg dumplings with potatoes and onions (about 12 pcs.)
  • 1 tbsp. l extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 sweet or spicy raw Italian sausages (approximately 340 gr.), remove the shells, crush the minced meat
  • 200 gr. small sweet peppers, cut lengthwise in half or 4 parts
  • Onion half, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp. l (15 gr.) Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 tbsp. torn fresh basil

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large pan, bring salted water to a boil. Boil the dumplings as recommended on the package. Cast separately 3/4 tbsp. the water in which they were boiled, the rest drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan with non-stick coating on moderately high heat heat the olive oil. Add minced meat and fry, smashing it with a wooden spoon until it darkens, 6-8 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium. Add bell peppers, onions, garlic and red pepper flakes and fry, stirring until vegetables become soft, 7-9 minutes. Salt to taste.
  3. Add the dumplings to the pan and mix. Add creamy oil and 1/4 tbsp. water from dumplings; cook over medium heat stirring gently until butter melts, adding as need more water to make the sauce more liquid. Intervene basil.
