These little cucumbers (gherkins) must be lowered into the salt water in which should already be cabbage leaf. In this pickle you must leave the cucumbers for three to four days, the cucumbers in this pickle will acquire yellowish tint.
Next, take out the cucumbers from the salt water and transfer to a basin, covering with a cabbage leaf, and salt water, from which you took out the cucumbers, it is necessary to boil and pour the cucumbers with it. This the procedure needs to be repeated until your little cucumbers will not turn green again. Then they should be for three days in place cold water. After three days, take out the cucumbers again from the water, dry a little and you can already pour warm syrup.
For syrup, you need to take a pound of sugar for one and a half glasses of water, pour the juice of two ripe lemons into it and add the zest of these lemons with twenty five grams of grated ginger. In syrup, cucumbers should stand for a day, then it must be drained. Then add sugar to proportions for four hundred grams of cucumbers six hundred grams of sugar, cook to a thick consistency, boil twice.
