Chinese broccoli beef

Recipe for the second course – beef with broccoli and cabbage rice, in Chinese. Beef fried in starch and soya batter sauce. Broccoli fried with ginger, tomatoes, and then stewed in Chicken broth sauce. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 400 – 500 gr. beef flank steak, cut into strips across the fibers
  • 1 head of broccoli, sorted into inflorescences, large cut into two parts
  • 1 large onion, cut into half rings
  • 2 tbsp. l corn starch
  • 4 tbsp. l soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Sahara
  • 5 tbsp. l peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp. l oyster sauce
  • 1 1/4 Art. chicken broth
  • 4 slices of ginger
  • 3 plum tomatoes, cut lengthwise into four parts
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chop
  • Boiled rice, served (optional)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Prepare the beef: mix in a large bowl 1 tbsp. l corn starch, 3 tbsp. l soy sauce, 1 tsp. sugar and 1 Art. l peanut butter. Dip the pieces of meat into the mixture and refrigerate for a while.
  2. Prepare the sauce: mix the remaining corn starch, soy sauce, oyster sauce and chicken stock in separate a bowl.
  3. Fry vegetables: heat 1 tbsp. l peanut butter in large pan to high heat. Add ginger, broccoli. and the remaining 1 tsp. sugar, fry, stirring constantly, 3 – 4 min Put on a dish. Heat another 1 tbsp. l peanut butter in in the same pan, add onion and fry, stirring constantly, 2 – 3 min Add tomatoes and cook, slightly turning, 2 min. Put the onions and tomatoes in a dish with broccoli.
  4. Cook the beef: heat the remaining 2 tbsp. l peanut butter in a skillet, at medium temperature. Add garlic and pieces of meat, fry, stirring constantly, 1 min
  5. Stew vegetables and meat: mix the sauce with a whisk, then add to the pan and simmer for 1 min. Add vegetables and continue cooking until desired meat is cooked, about 3 to 4 minutes
  6. Serve beef and vegetables with rice.
