Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 cans (450 g each) canned black beans preto drain and rinse
  • 1 can (800 gr.) Canned cherry tomatoes with liquid, knead the flesh
  • 900 gr. ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into small squares
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chop finely
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • Salt
  • 1/4 Art. chili powder (seasoning recipe see here)
  • 1 tbsp. l ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground paprika
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • 1 bottle (0.33 liters) of light beer
  • 2 tbsp. l cocoa powder
  • 1.5 tbsp. meat broth
  • 1 tbsp. l hot sauce
  • Grated cheddar cheese, sliced ​​green onion, sour cream, for submission (optional)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Cook ground beef: fry bacon over medium heat in a large deep frying pan or pan with a thick bottom, 6-8 minutes from each side. Put the bacon on a paper towel and cool, then crumble in a separate bowl. Drain from the pan (1 tablespoon leave) fat bacon. Increase fire and add to minced beef pan, fry, kneading with a wooden spatula, in for 8 minutes. Transfer the fried minced meat to a dish.
  2. Cook vegetables: heat the left spoon in a pan fat from bacon. Add onions, bell peppers and fry when medium-high temperature, stirring, about 5 min. Add garlic and 1 tsp salt, cook for 2 minutes. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, tomato paste and cook, stirring, about 6 minutes (if the mixture starts to burn, add some water). Pour in beer and boil vegetables for another 3 minutes.
  3. Add minced meat, cocoa powder, tomatoes with liquid to vegetables, meat broth and beans, bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat stirring occasionally, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
  4. Add hot sauce to chili con carne and salt to taste. If a chilli turned out thick, add another broth. cooked dish “Chili con carne with beer” in portions and sprinkle on top of bacon, cheese, green onions. Serve with sour cream.
