Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 4 sweet Italian sausages for frying (about 120 gr. each)
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp. dry red wine
  • 700 gr. seedless red grapes (5 – 6 tbsp.)
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp red wine vinegar
  • Salt and ground pepper
  • 4 tbsp. whole milk
  • 1 tbsp. instant polenta
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme – leaves without middle vein
  • 1 tbsp. grated fountain cheese (about 90 gr.)
  • 3 tbsp. l chopped fresh parsley, and a little more for sprinkles

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Put the sausages there and sauté, turning over once, until the appearance of a golden crust, about 6 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add wine while scraping the browned pieces from the bottom pans.
  2. Add the grapes and spread the mixture evenly. Cover lid and continue cooking until sausages are fried for 10 minutes. Put the sausages on a plate; cover with foil so that they do not cool. Increase the heat to high level and continue to cook the grapes until it bursts and the liquid does not evaporate, about 12 minutes. (Mash the grapes slightly with a fork if it does not burst.) Remove from heat and mix with vinegar season with salt and pepper.
  3. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, bring the milk and 2 to a boil glasses of water. Stir, add polenta and thyme. Reduce the fire to a weak level and cook until the polenta thickens, from 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add cheese, stir until mixture is homogeneous; season with salt and pepper. Add parsley to grape sauce, and cut into slices of sausages. Decorate polenta sausages, pour grape sauce and sprinkle parsley.
