Ingredients for the recipe:

Meatballs

  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 Art. grated Pecorino Romano cheese or Parmesan
  • 1/2 tbsp. finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • Salt and ground pepper
  • 700 gr. ground beef
  • 230 gr. minced pork
  • 230 gr. minced meat
  • 1/2 tbsp. breadcrumbs
  • Olive oil for frying

Sandwich Ingredients

  • 6 ciabatta rolls cut in two
  • 450 gr heated marinara sauce
  • 450 gr sliced mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp. pickled jardigner vegetables, without brine and large chopped
  • 340 gr Canned Roasted Bell Peppers, No Pickle and chopped into strips

Recipe preparation:

  1. Cooking meatballs: Preheat the oven with a grill. AT mix a large bowl until smooth, eggs, cheese, parsley, garlic and a small amount of salt with pepper. Add minced meat and breadcrumbs and do-it-yourself again mix well. Try not to overmeat the meat, otherwise it will turn into a hard meatloaf. It should become loose and elastic.
  2. Use your hands to mold 6 loose cutlets that fit the size. your buns. Heat a little oil in a large cast-iron skillet with a thick bottom (or use a grill pan) over medium heat. Turn over periodically, fry cutlets until golden brown, 4 or 5 minutes on each side. Put the cutlets on a baking sheet.
  3. Sandwich making: grill buns in within 3 minutes. Pour 3 tbsp. l sauce on top of each bun and place a few slices of mozzarella on top. Put the buns in bake and bake until the cheese melts and rolls brown, about 3 to 5 minutes. Put the cutlets on buns, on top – pickled vegetables and fried bell peppers. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve with the remaining sauce marinara.
