Sweet Salad Recipe

Healthy food is not always tasty and is understood even adults, and children feel intuitively. No one doubts that carrots are useful, but how to explain this to a child, and even better have him ask her for tomorrow, lunch and dinner, or at least did not refuse it three times a week? Everything is simple – salad from carrots in a sweet version.

The main ingredients:

  • carrots – 5 pcs.;
  • dried cranberries – ½ cup;
  • lemon – 1 pc.;
  • orange – ½ pcs.;
  • liquid natural honey – 1 tablespoon;
  • coriander seeds to taste.

Cooking method

Wash carrots, peel and rub on a coarse grater, but you can grind and in the combine. Cranberries finely chopped and mixed together with carrots. Lemon juice is squeezed into a separate small bowl and orange, and coriander seeds and liquid honey are added. Everything thoroughly mixed and served on the table.

Cooking options: this salad can be not only sweet, but also more piquant, with the addition of a more saturated dressing and garlic. You can also add a little garlic to the sweet version, and use a little frozen red instead of cranberries currants.

To prepare an “adult” version of the salad, you must complicate refueling.

The main ingredients:

  • olive oil – 1 tablespoon;
  • garlic – 1 clove;
  • salt – ¼ teaspoon.

When lemon and orange juice are already squeezed into a bowl, added liquid honey and coriander seeds, here also alternately mix the remaining dressing ingredients (oil, garlic and salt). If it seems a little to someone, then you can add ground black pepper, but not much, more for appearance and smell.

Salad is extremely useful in both sweet and regular option. Easy and quick to prepare and can be served daily on both for breakfast and lunch and dinner as an addition (in the case of ordinary salad) to serious main dishes of meat, and on dessert.

Given the fact that the main component here is carrots, then when choosing it, you need to give preference to a juicy vegetable with pronounced sweetness. Old carrots will not find a response in children, nor in adults.
