The classic recipe for delicious beef cabbage, fresh cabbage, potatoes, carrots and onions. The highlight of the traditional dish, which we often cook at home, will be canned tomatoes in own juice, which we add when frying vegetables. They will give sourness characteristic of the Russian first course.

We wash the beef, put it in boiling water in a large saucepan, add bay leaf, salt, ground pepper and cook on low heat for 1-1.5 hours (depending on the category of meat). If the broth boils strongly, add hot water. The resulting foam at the beginning boil constantly remove. We take out the finished beef, cool and split into pieces by fiber.

While the meat is being cooked, we cut the cabbage into strips, peeled potatoes – diced, onion – finely, grate carrots coarsely. To the broth without meat put the prepared cabbage with potatoes, bring to a boil and remove the foam.

Put the onion in hot oil and fry for 5-8 minutes until golden colors. Add carrots, fry for 5 minutes and put chopped Tomatoes in their own juice. Fry vegetables for another 5 minutes, stirring and spread in a saucepan. Cook vegetables in broth on low heat for about 20 minutes, try on salt and add slices beef. We bring aromatic cabbage soup to a boil and remove from heat.

Pour delicious beef cabbage on plates, add sour cream or mayonnaise and immediately serve with fresh bread. Cabbage soup at will can be supplemented with any spices and fresh herbs to taste, excellent Suneli hops, ground coriander, caraway seeds and dill (fresh or dried).
