Brownie cakes with figs and walnuts nuts

Reduce your sugar intake by adding dried fruits and nuts.

Instead of a sweetener, dried fruits are used here – dried figs with dates. These chocolate cakes are very nutritious and contain 5 gram of fiber. Just wonderful!

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1/3 Art. vegetable oil, plus for lubricating the mold
  • 1.5 tbsp. dried figs, chopped
  • 5 chopped pitted dates
  • 200 gr. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 Art. premium flour
  • 1/4 Art. cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 Art. walnuts

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Oil baking pan 20 x 20 cm. Place the figs and dates in a medium bowl and pour very hot water. Leave on for about 5 minutes. for softening. Drain and transfer fruit to a food processor. Grind until smooth.
  2. Place the chocolate in a small microwave container and Warm up several times until a homogeneous consistency is obtained: place for 30 seconds, then mix.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa, salt and food in a small bowl soda. Add melted chocolate and butter to the fruit puree, start mixing. Add the vanilla eggs and again mix. Add the flour mass, start stirring. Then pour 1/2 tbsp. walnuts and mix until nuts chopped to the size of a pea.
  4. Put the dough in the prepared form and level the top. Break the remaining walnuts (1/4 tbsp.) Into pieces, press them on top of the dough. Bake for 25-30 minutes. – until the toothpick inserted in the center will not be wet and will have stay a little dough. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack, do not taking out of shape.
