Braised cabbage bok choy with shiitake mushrooms

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 12 pcs caps of dried shiitake mushrooms
  • 4 small heads of cabbage bok choy, cut each into 4 parts
  • 1 clove garlic, chop
  • Peanut butter
  • 1 hikama root, peel and cut into thin slices
  • 2 tbsp. l oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp. l sake
  • 1 tbsp. chicken broth
  • 2 tsp potato starch

Recipe preparation:

  1. Soak shiitake mushrooms in hot water for 30 minutes. Throw bok choy into boiling water and cook, 2 min.
  2. Heat peanut butter in a large pan, add garlic, mushrooms, hikama and fry over high heat, stirring constantly 1 min
  3. Add oyster sauce, sake and chicken stock, cover and cook for about 5 minutes. Dilute potato starch in a small amount of cold water and add to the mushrooms. Add side choi and simmer, 5 minutes
