- 1 can 425 gr. canned black or red beans, washed
- 2 tsp peanut butter
- 1 small jalapeno pod with a small amount of seeds, shredded
- 1 large clove of garlic, minced
- 0.5 tsp finely chopped fresh oregano
- 2 tsp – 1 tbsp. l freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tbsp. l coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
- Zest of half lime, optional

Recipe preparation:
- In a medium-sized saucepan over moderate heat, heat butter. Add jalapenos and garlic and fry, stirring, until appearance of aroma, about 30 seconds.
- Add beans, 1/3 tbsp. water, oregano, 1/8 tsp salt and cook by stirring until most of the liquid has evaporated, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, mix in lime juice and add salt if necessary. Transfer to serving bowl, sprinkle cilantro and zest of lime, if you use it, and serve.
