Recipe preparation:
- Barley porridge: Mix in a medium sized pan milk and barley flakes and over medium heat bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer at a slow boil, until almost all the milk has been absorbed and the cereal has softened, turning into a creamy mass, about 15 minutes. Stir in the sugar butter and 0.5 tsp salt.
