Difficulty: easy Servings: 4 – 6 In the recipes volumetric containers are used in volume: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cups (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (Art.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

For salad:

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, cut
  • 1/2 tbsp. chopped red onion
  • 2 plum tomatoes, cut
  • 4 slices of white bread, cut into large cubes
  • 1 tbsp. l (15 gr.) Unsalted butter
  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 6 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 1/4 Art. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper peas

For refueling:

  • 1/2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 – 2 tbsp. l maple syrup
  • 4 tsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tbsp. l fresh lemon juice

Recipe preparation:

  1. To make a salad: mix onions, tomatoes and lettuce romaine, let stand.
  2. Cook crackers: fry in a skillet medium temperature bread until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Allow to cool.
  3. Cook the bacon: mix in a small bowl brown sugar, black pepper, paprika, lemon zest and bacon. On a baking sheet covered with parchment paper thyme, put a strip of bacon on top of each twig.
