Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 small head of cabbage or 1/2 large head of cabbage, cut 1.5 cm wide strips (approx. 6 tbsp.)
  • 1 red onion, cut into thin half rings (approx. 1/2 Art.)
  • 6 slices of bacon, fry until crisp and crumble (leave 1 tbsp for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 tbsp. dried blueberries (leave 1 tbsp. l. for topping)
  • 1/2 tbsp. roasted chopped pecans (leave 1 tbsp. for topping)
  • 1/2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. l cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. l Sahara
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper

Recipe preparation:

  1. Prepare salad dressing: mix in a large bowl mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Stir in cabbage, onions, bacon and blueberries. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours.
  2. Stir in pecans and season with salt and pepper before serving. Sprinkle with the remaining bacon, blueberries and pecans.
