Rice with chicken in a slow cooker – a detailed recipe cooking. Time: 4 час. 30 min. Difficulty: easy Servings: 4 Measured containers are used in recipes volume: 1 cup (st.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cups (st.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (Art.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 6 chicken thighs (approximately 700 gr.)
- 1 can (410 gr.) Canned tomatoes sliced
- 2 diced 5 cm. Green bell peppers
- 1 tbsp. rice
- 3 tbsp. l wheat flour
- 2 tbsp. l paprika
- 1 tbsp. l garlic powder
- Salt and ground black pepper
- 1/4 Art. canola oil
- 1 onion head sliced in thick half rings
- 2 tbsp. l tomato paste
- 2 tbsp. chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 tbsp. pitted green olives (with pimento pepper)
- Optional equipment: slow cooker

Recipe preparation:
- In a large bag with a clasp, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, some salt and pepper. Put the chicken and stir to it was completely covered with the mixture. In a large saucepan not medium heat the canola oil over a fire. Put the chicken and saute from all parties, 3-4 minutes. with each. While the chicken is cooking, in slowly put the tomatoes, peppers and onions. Put chicken on top thighs.
- Put the tomato paste in the same pan where the chicken was fried and fry for a minute, stirring constantly. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil, stirring and scraping the fried pieces from the bottom of the pan. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker on the chicken. Cook at low temperature for 4 hours until the chicken becomes very soft.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, mix 2 tbsp. water, rice, cereal red pepper, lemon zest, juice of half a lemon and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer at low boil, cover, until rice is soft, until all the liquid is absorbed. To serve, put rice in a deep dish and lay chicken on top with vegetables. Garnish with olives and pour over the remaining lemon juice. Leave 2 chicken thighs and 1 glass of vegetables for another recipe – stuffed pits with spicy yogurt sauce.
