Pie pie with drunk cherry and chocolate

Pot pie recipe. The cake is cooked in portioned forms filled with cherries with rum and chocolate. From above the mold is closed with shortcrust pastry and baked in the oven. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 600 gr ready-made frozen shortcrust pastry for pie (tart dough)
  • Powder Flour
  • 1 350 gr. halved pitted cherries
  • 3/4 Art. turbinado sugar (partially refined raw sugar), plus some more to sprinkle
  • 1/2 tbsp. light rum (“silver” or “white”)
  • 1 tbsp. l vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp grated orange zest
  • Fine salt
  • 3 tbsp. l corn starch
  • Special grease spray
  • 6 tbsp. l cold unsalted butter, sliced into pieces
  • 40 gr semisweet chocolate with 60% cocoa content (1/4 Art.)
  • Grease Greasy Cream
  • Serving Vanilla Ice Cream

Recipes with similar ingredients: shortbread dough, chocolate semisweet, cherry, cream, vanilla ice cream, turbinado sugar, rum, vanilla extract, Orange zest, starch, flour

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, beat sugar, rum, vanilla extract, orange zest and 1/4 tsp salt. Sugar should completely dissolve. Add cherries and corn starch and mix. Leave on for 30 minutes until the berries give juice.
  2. Cover the baking sheet with foil and brush with a special spray. On prepared baking tray place six ceramic molds for tarts 13-15 cm in size. In each form put a slotted spoon in 3/4 Art. berries, on top put 1 tbsp. l (15 gr.) Butter and 2 tsp chocolate.
  3. Put the remaining berry mixture in a saucepan, add 1/2 tbsp. water and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes until thickening. Divide the mixture into molds. Allow to cool completely.
  4. Sprinkle the surface of the table with flour. Cut the dough with a knife 6 circles. Each of them should be 1.2 cm larger than the diameter ceramic molds (use one mold as a stencil). Put dough pieces on another baking sheet and keep in freezer before use.
  5. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. For cooking use the lower level of the oven. Cover each shape with a circle. dough, firmly pressing it to the edges of the form. Make some cuts with a knife. Bake for 45 minutes, then grease each pie with cream and sprinkle with sugar. Bake another 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve with ice cream.
