Ingredients for the recipe:
- 2 tbsp. coarsely chopped, peeled red sweet pepper
- 1 medium hot green pepper, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp. cider vinegar
- 6 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/4 – 1/2 tsp chopped dried chili peppers
- 170 ml. liquid apple pectin (recipe in home conditions see here)

Recipe preparation:
- Need to prepare cans and metal screw caps for canning:
- Put 12 cans of 120 ml each. into a large pot. Add enough water to completely immerse the cans. Boil cans at low boil.
- In a separate pan, fill the lids with water and heat to boiling. Keep the caps in hot water until you get them not needed.
- In a blender or food processor, make mashed peppers and 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar.
- In a large stainless steel pan, mix the mashed peppers, the remaining 1 tbsp. cider vinegar, sugar and crushed dried pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook, constantly stirring for 10 minutes Add pectin and continue cooking, stirring constantly, another 1 min. Remove the pan from the stove and remove the resulting foam.
- Pour hot jelly into hot jars, filling 3/4 of them volume. Cover the jars with lids, but do not twist.
- Put the cans in a large pan, pour hot water on 3/4 height of the can. Bring to a boil, cover the pan with a lid, and boil for 10 minutes. Remove the lid from the pan and turn it off stove. Wait 5 minutes, then remove the cans and tighten covers. Turn the cans over and place on a flat surface, cover with a towel and leave for a day.
- As time passes, turn over the cans and check if everything is lids tightly screwed. When pressing on the covers, they should not to bend. Canned jelly in jars can be stored at room temperature throughout the year. If the banks were bad sealed, jelly can be stored in the refrigerator for months.
