Patti Melt is a simple but very tasty american cheeseburger-like sandwich. Instead of rolls in it slices of bread, usually rye or multigrain, are used. The closed sandwich is fried in a pan so that the cheese melted – melt – and covered the patty – patty. Patty melt excellent suitable for a hearty breakfast. Ingredients for the recipe:
- 300 gr sweaty minced turkey
- 200 gr. minced beef tenderloin
- 8 slices of multigrain bread
- 3 tbsp. l olive oil
- 2 medium onions, sliced into thin rings
- 300 gr mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp. l Worcester sauce plus 2 tsp.
- 8 thin slices of Swiss cheese (55 – 90 gr.)

Recipe preparation:
- On medium heat in a large non-stick pan Preheat 1 tsp. olive oil. Sprinkle the onions and fry in for 2 to 3 minutes to softness. Rake the whole bow one way frying pans and put mushrooms next to them, fry them for 2 min Salt, pepper and mix the mushrooms with onions. Toast 10 more min until golden onion. Add vinegar and 2 tbsp. l Worcester sauce. Then put everything in a bowl and cover so as not to cool.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix all the minced meat and add the remaining 2 tsp Worcester sauce. Form 4 oval cutlets of one size. Wipe the pan and add 1 tbsp. l olive oil. Heat over medium-high heat. Salt and pepper cutlets and fry for 4 minutes until golden brown. Turn over and fry on the other side for 1 – 2 minutes.
- Arrange the mushrooms with onions into 4 slices of bread, put on top of a piece of cheese, on a cutlet, another piece of cheese and cover with another a slice of bread. Wipe the pan, pour 1 tbsp. l olive oil and put on medium heat. Fry two pieces of sandwiches within 1 – 2 minutes, so that the bread is browned and the cheese has melted. At add remaining oil if necessary.
